Longevity & Skin

Why is my skin changing?

Dryness, thinning, and loss of firmness all have possible causes. A provider can help you figure out which one is yours.

Start with a consult. You don’t need a diagnosis to book one.

What affects your skin

Most people assume it’s age. Sometimes that’s right. Sometimes skin is affected by something else, and a provider can find it.

Hormones

Estrogen and testosterone both affect skin. Levels shift over time in both men and women, and they’re measurable.

02

Weight loss

Skin changes are common during significant weight loss. Your provider can talk through what to expect and what helps.

03

Nutrition

Skin depends on protein, and on vitamins and minerals that are easy to run low on. Most of these can be tested.

04

Sleep and stress

Both affect how skin looks and how it repairs itself. They’re worth raising with a provider alongside everything else.

Prescription options

Prescription options may include compounded medications. Compounded drugs are permitted under federal law but are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Prescription required after provider evaluation. Not available in all states.

How care at Ivím works

  1. Tell us what’s going on.

Your health history, what you’ve been noticing, and what you want to work on.

  2. Meet your provider.

A licensed Ivím provider reviews it with you and talks through what’s worth looking at.

  3. Get a plan built for you.

Treatment when it’s appropriate, along with guidance on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress.

  4. Keep going.

Your care team stays with you between visits, and your plan changes as your needs do. Ivim membership gives you access to your care team and to Ivím’s programs. Medication is billed separately.

“Skin may be the first place your body shows you something’s changed, and it often gets blamed on age. Hormones, nutrition, sleep, all play a role. That makes it worth paying attention to, not covering up.”
