Sleep & Stress

Why can’t I sleep?

Trouble sleeping and trouble winding down have a lot of possible causes. A provider can help you figure out which one is yours.

Start with a consult. You don’t need a diagnosis to book one.

Where sleep and stress problems actually come from

Most people try to fix this on their own first. Earlier bedtime, less caffeine, a new app. Sometimes that works. Sometimes sleep is being affected by something else, and a provider can find it.

01

Hormones

Hormone changes can affect sleep in both men and women. Your provider will look at your symptoms and labs together when recommending treatment.

02

Tired but wired

Lying awake with your mind running is a common reason people can’t fall asleep. Ongoing stress affects sleep, appetite, and how you feel during the day.

03

Sleep quality

You can be in bed eight hours and still wake up unrested. Disrupted sleep can go on for months before anyone looks at it.

04

Weight and medication

Sleep sometimes changes when your weight or your medication changes. Your provider can look at it alongside everything else.

Prescription options

Prescription options may include compounded medications. Compounded drugs are permitted under federal law but are not FDA-approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Prescription required after provider evaluation. Not available in all states.

How care at Ivím works

  1. Tell us what’s going on.

Your health history, what you’ve been noticing, and what you want to work on.

  2. Meet your provider.

A licensed Ivím provider reviews it with you and talks through what’s worth looking at.

  3. Get a plan built for you.

Treatment when it’s appropriate, along with guidance on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress.

  4. Keep going.

Your care team stays with you between visits, and your plan changes as your needs do. Ivím membership gives you access to your care team and to Ivím’s programs. Medication is billed separately.

“Sleep and stress aren’t lifestyle extras. They’re two of the strongest signals your body receives. When they’re off, hunger goes up, fullness goes down, and weight loss gets harder even when you’re working hard. So we treat them as part of your medical care.”
