Our Clinical Results

Results from two peer-reviewed, retrospective studies of Ivím patients who stayed on treatment. Most used compounded medications. Not head-to-head comparisons. Individual results vary. See study details below.

27%¹Average weight loss at 72 weeks for Ivím patients on tirzepatide
22%²Average weight loss at 68 weeks for Ivím patients on semaglutide
22%³ (vs. 17%)Average weight loss among Ivím Protocol patients on semaglutide who stayed on treatment vs. completers in a published clinical trial.

¹ 26.5% average total body weight loss at 72 weeks among Ivím tirzepatide patients who stayed on treatment. ² 21.8% average at 68 weeks among Ivím semaglutide patients who stayed on treatment. ³ 21.8% average weight loss at 68 weeks for Ivím semaglutide patients who stayed on treatment under the Ivím Protocol vs. 16.9% for participants who adhered to treatment in a separate published semaglutide trial that included structured diet, exercise, and counseling. Retrospective study with no control group. Differences may reflect care model, population, and study design, and the study does not establish that the Ivím Protocol caused the difference. Not a head-to-head comparison, and not evidence that any medication is more effective than another. More than 90% of Ivím patients used compounded medications. Results are from two retrospective studies with no control group, published in Obesity Pillars. More than 90% of Ivím patients used compounded medications.

Common Questions

What are the most common side effects of compounded GLP-1 medications?

The most common side effects of compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are typically gastrointestinal in nature, including:

Nausea Vomiting Diarrhea Constipation Bloating or gas Decreased appetite or early satiety

These side effects are usually mild to moderate and tend to improve over time, especially with gradual dose escalation under provider supervision. Serious side effects can also include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar, kidney problems, thyroid C-cell tumor warning.

Are GLP-1s covered by insurance?

Branded GLP-1 medications may be covered by insurance, depending on your specific plan and carrier requirements. Eligibility is often based on factors such as BMI, medical history, and qualifying health conditions. Before you get started, Ivím can help verify your insurance coverage to determine whether you qualify.

What if I prefer branded medications?

Zepbound® and Wegovy® are available through our traditional GLP-1 program when your provider determines they’re appropriate.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

Our intake questionnaire and consultation with a provider determine if you medically qualify.

How does canceling work?

Your GLP-1 membership auto-renews until you cancel, and you can cancel online from your account (https://www.ivimhealth.com/my-account/). Canceling doesn’t refund any fees already paid or pause your program period, though: your program keeps running toward its fixed end date, and any medication not yet shipped is forfeited once your program period and 14-day grace period expire. You’ll still owe for any medication already dispensed or prepared and any membership fees accrued before cancellation. Refunds are only available as described in our Refund and Returns Policy (https://www.ivimhealth.com/refund_returns/).

Support At Every Step

“For years, the advice was simple: eat less, move more. It’s not that simple. Hunger, metabolism, your body’s set point, those are biological signals, and it’s not always something you can control. When you treat weight the way you’d treat any other medical condition, real change becomes possible.”
